    First impression of AMODEL DeHavilland DH60X Moth

    The AMODEL DH60X Moth is one of the AMODEL series of the DH60 moth kits that have been produced by this company within the last three years. On inspection of the kit, it looks pretty straight forward build and decently detailed. I bought this kit due to the use of this aircraft for USN naval attache' in Great Britain after World War I. According to some of my references the Navy used the XDH60, which I figure is the same model Moth as the AMODEL kit. I figure that the DH60X version is what was meant by the references. The decals in the kit do not represent the attache' markings. So I will have to do some research to determine how the USN painted and specific markings used. I have not assembled it yet but the sprues show really nice detail and looks free of distortions and flash. ...
