Does a good job
Bought this to replace an ancient 'occasional' battery electric razor (I usually wet shave) and am delighted at the quality of the shave - much closer than I had thought possible and so much so that I've stopped wet shaving. Not at all bad but the Philips is better.
This is my first foray into Braun shavers since I have always used Philishave. It is quick to charge and a full charge lasts a long time - easily a week. It comes with a convenient stand which takes up next to no space. It is also quite nicely balanced though the double foil head took some getting used to. One can't help but compare the performance with the Philishave and, to be honest, the Philishave is the better machine. Whilst the Braun will shave closely, it takes a lot longer to do so than the Philips. Also it is not as comfortable against the skin. I always use a pre-electirc shave as this seems to give a closer shave. The side trimmer is excellent on the Braun and certainly as good - maybe even a little better - than the Philips. Great Shaver! Did a lot of research before buying this of course, and my type of beard is not thick, but only medium, so don't go dive in head first. Nonetheless, it shaves very good, leaves some tiny facial hairs behind sometimes but you can get over it by going trough that area a few more times on different directions. The charge holds alot longer than advertised. I used it daily, for 10-15min and it lasted 2 weeks. The trimmer on the back is extremelly useful aswell, altough it doesn't have any way of changing the length. Very easy to clean also.Great Shaver! Brill product amazing value for such a good brand
I have wet shaved all my life & resisted electric shaveing. But this is brill. I use it as a dry shaver & it gives a good close shave with no aggravation on the skin. Charges up in about 35 mins from being flat & can get abou 5 good shaves from that. Would highly recommend as a first electric shaver. The fact it is a Braun means you are getting a very good quality product, at a reasonable price.
