Extremely pleased with purchase and the whole process from seeing the description online, the price, receiving communication about delivery, to the arrival of the book. Very well packaged and protected, especially considering it is a large and heavy book. Have no hesitation to recommend birchbookstore 🌸

  • Ian McPHERSON is to be complemented for writing some recent history of the Royal Australian Navy's operations in the Middle East.

"The Smack Track" explains in easy to understand terms the complex operational issues faced by sailors of the RAN as they attempt to hinder the smuggling of munitions, narcotics & people off the coast of Africa and in the Middle East that is impacted by political intervention. The RAN has been very successful in these operations, and the book focuses on one of Australia's frigates, introducing us to their motivated crew as they go about there day-to-day activities in a very professional way. A great read and recommended to all.
