Would not buy again.

No drivers work in Win 7, tossed in the parts bin.
Looks like a Baofeng cable, but unfortunately no drivers work in Win 7, including the supplied ones that come with the mini-CD. Tried several drivers from the manufacturer but all of them don't work with this cable. Will try on the Zon to see if I can find a cable that will allow me to program UV-5R's with Chirp.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does work, driver install confusing
Can confirm, I have read and written to a UV-5R with this cable and CHIRP software. Driver disk is full of junk and Chinese programming software, ignore all that. Also ignore the Prolific driver, this is not a Prolific chip. The chip is model CH340, and the driver is cleverly hidden as "USB. EXE" Run that, and it will install the correct driver. Sparkfun uses it in some of their stuff, so you can find resources there too. However the included driver installed fine on my windows 10 ver. 20H2 laptop, so I just used that.
