D.J. MacHale's New York Times bestselling middle grade fantasy series about Bobby Pendragon, a regular kid about to find himself and his two friends pulled into one epic adventure across worlds! Bobby Pendragon is a seemingly normal fourteen-year-old boy. He has a family, a home, and even Marley, his beloved dog. But there is something very special about Bobby. He is going to save the world. And not just Earth as we know it. Bobby is slowly starting to realize that life in the cosmos isn't quite what he thought it was. And before he can object, he is swept off to an alternate dimension known as Denduron, a territory inhabited by strange beings, ruled by a magical tyrant, and plagued by dangerous revolution. If Bobby wants to see his family again, he's going to have to accept his role as savior, and accept it wholeheartedly. Because, as he is about to discover, Denduron is only the beginning....

  • One of my all time favorites

This is my favorite series, next to the wizard books by you know who. They started when I was a school librarian and the kids and I couldn't wait until the next one would come out. Now, all these years later I'm re-reading them at age 60 and got the complete set for my daughter who also fondly remembers them. This series is good for all ages.

  • Pendragon: the Mecchant of Death by D. Machale

I think that this book-as a first of a series-shows a great plot and explains the ideas well. It never stops showing action, slavery, and the mistakes that anyone can make. yet you can by the ideas that every book could be just as exciting. a summary of the plot could be: there is a normal fifteen year old boy named bobby pendragon. then suddenly he is wisked off to a strange place where he must stop war or see this world collapse. overall i recemend this book to any fantasy or science fiction lover

  • Great book!

I bought the whole Pendragon set for my son when he was in school. He occasionally loaned them out and lost track of this one. He was excited to get this as a replacement. It was in good condition and fit right in with his used set. Great books! His sister and I even enjoyed reading them.

  • Title is fine.

D.J. machale is an excellent writer. What a story! Traveling from one territory to another through flumes. Arriving just when you need to. Having everything placed there by the acolytes just when you need them to be there. I can't wait for the next one.
