Good fun piece of kit that works!
I've had a Biolite stove for ages and always wanted to get the grill and finally saw this on eBay. I've used it a couple of times and it is fun and works! We used it for a picnic and although the grill isn't the biggest in the world it cooked a pack of chipolata sausages easily while were out on picnic and was enough to a lunch for a family of three. You can carry on adding fuel to the stove to carry on cooking if there are more of you (or you're hungry) but then people will have to wait. I'm also not sure how well it will fair with thicker food like burgers or thick sausages (will it cook all the way through? might need a bit more management and time). As it says in the instruction manual there is a fairly big temperature gradient across the grill so you have to keep an eye on what ... The temperature can be a bit fierce but can be adjusted by the amount of fuel added (obviously) and by closing the lid on to the stove. It integrates neatly with the stove, one of the things I do like is that it is that the Biolite is packaged neatly so that it is easy to contain the fire and it doesn't disturb the surroundings - we used it on a bench which makes it sociable and easy to use. The cover over the stove is really nice touch to protect you gear against the greasy, dirty grill once you've finished with it. Overall the stove works and is practical (works much better than the usb charging of the stove) and it fun to use. There might be better wood fired portable stoves out there that are lighter, with bigger grills that are cheaper but so far I've found this pretty good.
