    Is this what you actually need?

    Bought this to utilise two screens on VGA via a single DVI. This will only duplicate a single screen and not give you a two screen spread. Ended up chucking it in a drawer as it's absolutely no use to me.

    An Inexpensive Way to Duplicate your Desktop for Demonstrations...

    Just the job for duplicating your desktop, which made it easier to demonstrate computer basics to the wife.. Point to note, this is only a splitter cable, and will only duplicate what you see on the desktop, This cable will NOT extend the desktop across two monitors, for that, you will require a graphics card with separate outlets, and the appropriate adapter cables, ie, DVI to Vga - Vga to Vga - HDMI to Vga. Some Graphic Cards ie, AMD FireMV only have one outlet, and employs a 'Y' cable to connect two monitors for extending the desktop, this cable will not do that, if that is what you are trying to do...
