  • Pretty accurate historically in most areas but with a few discrepancies

    As a scot I can write accuratly about kidnapped. There are another two productions the one with Peter Finch and another with Micheal Cain. Armand Assanti does a great Scottish accent. This vhs is the best production ajnd is very atmospheric. The biblical epithetes are accurate because Scotland was known as the Land of the Book. Basically Lowland Scots spoke a more purer Anglo Saxon as Lallan Scots is a varient of Old English. Lowland Scots were the more business orientated and pragmatic, and were mosatly protestant and presbyterian. David Balfour is the arch-typical Lowland Scot, a supporter of King George " House of Hanover" Allan Breck Stuart or Stewart of Appin, not Royal. As a Glaswegian Bonnie Prince Charlie was no friend of Glasgow as he demanded millions of pounds in todays ...
