Base is plastic but robust so no issue there, fence sets up manually but easy enough, you will need a good square to set it. I’ve put it through it’s paces on some rough stock and it finished it well at .5-1.5cutd, no idea why you want to try and plane 3mm off a piece in one go! Also use a push stick could have been supplied Only bad point is the blade guard/ guide is flimsy . All in all I would recommend this planer for the diy enthusiast as for the money it’s pretty good , easy to set up and use, recommended use a shop vac mine fits the port and I’ve had no clogging. All in all, quite a good machine for the price and hobbyist.
Purchase and delivery response excellent. Quality of machine left a bit to be desired. The machine was listed on several sites at a much higher price so I chose this one but build quality was a bit below par. The infeed table finish is fairly poor and doesn't adjust squarely with the adjustment knob, the instruction manual was also quite poor with not very detailed instructions and I had to modify one of the fence mounting brackets by enlarging the holes, as it would not sit square on the machine. Otherwise, it works ok. I have yet to use it on any detailed work.Purchase and delivery response excellent. Quality of machine left a bit to be desired. I wish they would state what materials it made off, base is made of plastic so it is lightweight, when I first got it I set it up not a problem with that but the fence took awhile to get that square. Put my first few pieces through (oak) and iron did a very good job squared the all up no problems plenty of power the only thing I would say is clamp it down when useing it to be safe it is light, for the price you cannot complain because it's a steal, my dewalt planer cost more than this, so far a great investmentI wish they would state what materials it made off, base is made of plastic so it is lightweight, when I first got it I set it up not a problem with that but the fence took awhile to get that square. quite solid for the price and does what it should do once you check and set it all up, the planer has a run duration time of 10 minuets then I assume it cuts out. The power on/off switch is effective and latches in the off position, the dust removal is good depending on the power of your vacuum. Overall for the money and size quite effective keep the cuts small and achieve a good finish.

Have never used a planer before and having a look at comments bought this one. It is so easy to use and did several projects straight away,it is noisy but I think they all must be.I would recommend this machine to anyone who would like one in there workshop for the first time.
