    Great printer

    The printer was described as "having been opened and checked but otherwise unused". This meant that no inks arrived in the box so the printer could not be immediately used which was a nuisance, but the set up procedure triggered the sending of the cartridges. Once installed the printer automatically went through its checks and was ready to use. It gives fantastic results with very clear definition and bright colour. It also handles cardboard in the paper tray easily. I would definitely recommend this product which we go at a very competitive price.

    Should have done better.

    Should be easy to set up. It isn't. I'm not a beginner and this has to be the worst I have ever experienced, bar none. Contacted HP and for some weird reason they set the IP address the same as I had already entered but to a different port and it worked. Solution, yes to one machine but for the other 4 I wanted it networked to it took over 5 hours of messing about. Only the threat of trashing it did it wake up and for no apparent reason decided to finally, reluctantly, work. Refuses to work if there is no paper in the photo tray so stick a bit of cardboard in and bingo, it works. Scan, yes, provided its a single sheet thick. More than that and you need to be inventive. Duplex printing, yes. Best bit, the auto extending paper tray. Photos OK but not as clear as my very old HP F2400. Text ...

    Nice Classy Printer & Scanner

    I think this is a good scanner & printer. I think one has to use HP's own ink cartridges which makes printing more expensive. With previous HP printers I could buy recycled cartridges & so keep the cost of printing down. The scanner on this printer is excellent. Scan in documents or photo's in Adobe or jpg. The set up CD made setting up this unit very easy.

    This is an excellent printer in more ways than one - Its easy set up - Its fast when printing - Its quite quiet when printing - Its print-out could not be bettered - I would highly recommend this printer to anyone. swar2918

    Inc is not included

    It seemed a bargain compared to printers offered on other sites. However, elsewhere inc is included too so overall this is the same or even higher price. Was tricky to set up as scanner didn’t work initially but then worked it out later and it does work fine. Overall it is a good printer but i doubt if it’s brand new as was not in a original box and did not have paperwork.
