This is one of your secret games, stashed in your closet next to the Christmas gifts and adult toys, that you bring out with some good friends and fine beer. Best played for anyone aged 16+. This second edition is played better combined with the original, "Duel at Mt. Skullzfyre", otherwise face some overpowered rules. Similar to the first edition, there seems to be a chunk of rules left out, or difficult to comprehend. For example, there is no text preventing the number of creatures you may keep in front of you. And some reaction cards fail to be specific in unique circumstances. There are few opportunities to claim the Standee Castle, but once you claim it, it acts as a double-edged sword; you are most likely to win with it, but your fellow players may choose to target their attacks at you more often. But now the box title makes sense. The new "blood" energy is a nice addition to the rule set in order to turn the tides. "Blood" allows you to augment your attacks to benefit you, with little differences between spells. Blood is easy to consume, and best saved for spell combinations. Besides those few flaws, it is still a great game to not be taken seriously. I mean, who doesn't want to play as Dragon Lord Fu-king or Sir Kitty Purrington!
