I've used Liberon products in the past and always been pleased with quality. Having just built an oak veneered larder re-using oak cupboard doors, I needed to match the finish of new wood to old. Liberon stains and 3 coats of clear satin, over sanding sealer have matched perfectly. Fine sanding of sealer, with a gentle rub over between coats (allowing 12hrs drying between) with wire wool, has left a very smooth surface with the grain still evident. Though I think you'd get away with 2 coats on less exposed areas, 3 coats on shelf's and outside will resist the extra knocks.I've used Liberon products in the past and always been pleased with quality. Top quality furniture lacquer
Exceptionally nice finish, preserves the color of the wood. The satin shine gives my dining table a like-new look, yet isn't too shiny. Only thing is you have to be careful applying it with a quality brush, as otherwise it can leave streaks that are impossible to remove, short of grinding with a sander. Highly recommended.
