A good sander with the variable speed
I brought this sander to replace an old one that had seen better days, I have been replacing power tools as they wear out with Makita as they are of good quality for the price and have given me good service. The sander (I haven't used much yet) seems smoother and quieter than my old one and gives a good finish and with the variable speed option must be a plus. A very confident machine.
I couldn't be more delighted with this sander. It's smooth, powerful and a lot quieter than my old one. The variable speed dial is so useful. My old sander only had one speed; fast and furious, but the powerful yet gentle lower speeds of this sander make for far better sanding jobs.

Best 1/3 sheet sander?
Used this sander to finish off the joints on a dry lined room. Does a good job, definitely the best sander I have owned. Was disappointed it didn't collect more of the dust but I think most sanders are the same in that regard
