Definitely worth the price!
Absolutely love LOTR and to have the extended versions makes it even better! Wasn't sure it it was worth buying the extended dvds but honestly it's worth it, I didn't expect there to be anywhere near as much additional content as I thought but I was wrong, there's an absolute ton of additional scenes that don't change the story in any way shape or form but still makes an amazing franchise like this just even better!Absolutely love LOTR and to have the extended versions makes it even better! Fantastic film set
Great set of movies. Unfortunate that they didnt come in with the main cover on. There is some issues with the viewing quality as the frames sometime freeze or a bit skippy. Overall though I love the parts that were missed from the storyline in the standard versions. It makes the film flow and make more sense. Overall really happy.

A must have for Tolkien fans.
Excellent box set, especially the extended edition with directors shots etc. If you're not a Tolkein fan yet, try it, you may be pleasantly surprised. Plenty of action, believable characters well cast. My 18 year old granddaughter and I sat riveted through all dvds. An epic few days!

I love Lord of the Rings and bought the normal DVD of the trilogy (in a store)as I was unaware of the extended version. When I saw the extended version of the trilogy it answered some unanswered questions, so I started to look for the extended version for a decent price. I found such a site and bought it. There was however a small hitch with the product, it came from the UK and I had not noticed any comment that it will only work on all region DVD players (if I had I probably would not have bought it) and not those that are programmed for regions out side of the UK. Luckily I can play it on my tv DVD player as it will not work on my computer DVD player. I would recommend it to any Lord of the Rings fan who has a DVD player that can play multiple region DVD's.I love Lord of the Rings and bought the normal DVD of the trilogy (in a store)as I was unaware of the extended version. Great entertainment, wonderful story
Anyone who loves the story of The Lord of the Rings will love this extended film version yes I know some of the characters from the book have been left out but as a film people who have not read the book maybe encouraged to do so. The extended version explains things that the cinema film did not so the extra footage enhances the film. Each film is over 2 DVDs which is good as they are a long haul so with the break you can make yourself a cup of tea ! The clarity and sharpness of the picture and the sound quality on each DVD is very good.
