Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX gives players the opportunity to compete as one of ten top BMX riders including Dave Mirra and Ryan Nyquist. Through completing objectives and winning various competitions you will unlock new bikes, sponsors, levels, and secret modes and characters.<br><br>In the tradition of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX features around 1,300 tricks with endless combination possibilities. You can perform a barrage of moves including stalls, nose manuals, rear wheel manuals, grinds, and a large amount of modifiable aerials. Additionally, the 12 levels contain dirt terrain, street courses, and vertical ramps. While six of the levels are objective based, the remaining levels are used for competitions.<br><br>There are four modes including Proquest, Session, Free Ride, and Two Player. The Proquest will have you progressing through 12 levels, passing goals and participating in various competitions. After finishing this mode with each biker, a new character or gameplay option will be unlocked. In the Session mode, you can practice on any unlocked level for the standard two-minute time limit. Acting as a practice-type mode, Free Ride allows you to ride as long as you want in any given level. Finally, the Two Player mode sports various options including a BMX version of H-O-R-S-E.

    Classic BMX Game

    I grew up with this game and its great to play even now when I'm older. Its not good graphics but for the era its not bad. You also get to pick through some very original OG BMX riders who paved the way of what BMX is today. Pretty simple controls as well. If you have a Playstation or PS2 around and still play it, pick this game up!

    OK... but.. Why?

    Over the original, you get about twice as many levels,and a couple extra manuvers, although they are nothing spectacular.Small sections of the original levels have been changed,and most of the Challenges are new. Levels that used to be comp. levels are now challenge levels. Game plays just the same as the original. Soundtrack has been change, a change for the worse in my opinion, and the even the remaining tracks from the original dont have the neat editing they did before to fit your 2 minute run. Worse part about the game is that it takes 4 mem blocks, and saving has its own 'load screen'. I had half the game beat before i realize that i only had cleared 2 spots on my old mem card! All in all, if your a fan of the sport or the game genre, buy it cheap,but dont just throw out the original ...
