Panasonic Perfection!
I was expecting as a used camera that it might have more wear and tear but it not only performs well it also looks virtually brand new! I am delighted with it and this Panasonic replaces one for my Wife that unfortunately received some damage. She is very pleased too!

Great camera and amazing HD video
Previously I had the TZ5, but managed to drop it face down in the sand whilst on holiday. Not the best thing to do to a camera, I later found out! When looking for a replacement I thought I'd look into the the TZ20, which I later bought. Again it's a great camera and I'm really pleased with my purchase. It has a massive 16x optical zoom and the picture quality is great unless at low light settings. This can make the pictures quite 'grainy'. As it is a 14MP camera, the picture files are enormous - anything up to 7mb each. Therefore buy a decent sized SD card. To take advance of the HD video on it, make sure it is a quick one too. I have a 16gb Class 10 Kingston card that I bought off of eBay for less than £20. The video is amazing. On the TZ5, the video was acceptable, but ... I am very impressed. It has an HDMI port on the side so you can plug straight into an HD ready device such as HDTV or recordable Blueray. The battery is physically smaller in size than the one on the TZ5, and with all the extra features like GPS, the TZ20 does burn through the charge quicker. I reckon the TZ5 needed charging about once a week on normal use on a holiday, the TZ20 would probably need charging twice. As mentioned there are lots of other features like GPS and 3D, but for 3D you will need a 3D TV. This is not something I've tested yet. All in all, it's a great camera for photos, amazing for video (providing you have a fast enough memory card!) with loads of other features that you may/may not use, but will certainly keep you interested!

Very compact ang good photographic tool.
This is a good camera for travelling and general purpose photography. It is light to carry and good in every department of photography. This is an excellent camera in a small package.The camera has GPS built in which has a location finder.It is a good feature while travelling in unknown places.GPS will always show where the pictures were taken.It can make excellent movies with a 32gb SD card heavy on the battery drain if you keep GPS on. I would recommend a spare charged battery. What a camera!This is a good camera for travelling and general purpose photography. It is light to carry and good in every department of photography. TZ Lumix Cameras - Great Retro Buys but know the limitations of each model
I have this bought on eBay - as well as some of the earlier models in the "second generation" Lumix TZ6-TZ20 series. The Cameralabs review has this camera spot on - it is a great compromise camera for taking travel shots to see on a laptop or to print to postcard size...BUT.... The TZ20 is the model with the CMOS sensor (also seen in the FZ100 model). This means faster shooting for a series in a "burts" and higer resolution video but the camera takes a hit in still image quality compared to the CCD sensor models that came before. This is the well known compromise between CCD and CMOS sensor designs. As a result enlargemets show a lot of smeared and low contrast detail in images even at low iso settings compared with the earlier models. Interewtingly - the TZ20 was relased with 2 lower ... I have this bought on eBay - as well as some of the earlier models in the "second generation" Lumix TZ6-TZ20 series. Since small sensor cameras (this has a 1/2.33" sensor) diffract and lose resolution- the actual sensor MP rating matters little once it is greater than 8MP at this physical size. So - as a secondhand buy, the TX 6 to 20 models beat the first TZ1-5 models hands down; but within the TZ6-20 range, chose carefully between the TZ6-19 and the TZ20. The TZ10 and TZ20 models have GPS - but this eats up batteries and seems a gimmick to me. Higher TZ numbers mean longer zoom ranges - but after about 300mm equivalent, image quality falls and the extra "reach" of a longer lens seems to be of little practical use to me. As the CameraLabs test shows - for better resollution in still images - the Canon HS models seem to perform better. But - as a whole package, the Lumix TZ models are, within their limitiations, a great buy on eBay.

Really great product, easy to use with excellent results.
Was looking for a compact camera with good zoom features which could be carried in my pocket to capture sports events . The lumix ticked all the boxes. Took a while to learn all the features but even in full 'Auto Mode' the results are fantastic. Very capable of taking photographs in low light conditions without the use of the built in flash. All round great camera.
