  • The Adventures of Robin Hood Vol. 1

    The Adventures of Robin Hood was a TV series produced in 1955-1958 in England. Richard Greene, an accomplished British actor, played the dashing Robin Hood. Of course Robin and his band of merry men of Sherwood Forest rob from the rich and give to the poor. And they protect the evil noblemen from doing injustices to the poor. The characters include Little John, played by Archie Duncan, who later played on the Sherlock Holmes series starring Ronald Howard in the 1950's, Maid Marion, played by Patricia Driscoll, and of course, we have Will Scarlett and Friar Tuck. In just about every episode, Robin tries to outwit the Sheriff of Nottingham, who more often than not, is done in by the incompetence of his own men. All the episodes are consistent in terms of quality; it probably doesn't matter ...
