    Not much more needs to be said

    Everything that you've read about this box is true!! Whether you love Bobbie, or are just curious, this is such a phenomenal package. Put together with great care and attention. While not all 7 albums are 5 star releases, there is so much here with the bountiful number of bonus tracks on each disc, I can't imagine anyone being disappointed. If you are a fan and you don't have this, don't wait!! It may be too late if you wait much longer. If you are curious, and know a little about her, I still think you will find this release exciting. I will give 4 of the 7 albums 5 stars (but I won't tell you which, it's up to you to decide). The live disc is fantastic, and the surfeit of bonus tracks is the icing this cake needed.

    Bobbie Gentry Box

    I have been a collector for 50 years, this is one the best box sets I have ever purchased ! A treatment like this long overdue for Gentry, who was far ahead of her time and HUGELY influential on today's alt-country women... Tons of never before released songs,spectacularly packaged. Includes an 85 page hardback book with lots of photos and comprehensive well-written text. Cannot recommend highly enough.

    As a collector of a few box sets, this one of Bobbie Gentry and the first one are Superb and many many thanks and appreciation go out to the mastermind and producer, and friend Andrew Batt. He made a Beautiful and Superb dedication to honor all of Miss Gentry's music. The pictures and the way they are placed in the box set are beyond stunning... Not to mention the quality sound of all 8 cds... You are only allowed to give 5 stars, I would give 10.

    This epic box set shows ,in chronological order, a master of songcraft and style at the very height of her powers. The scope of her brush is peerless. Bobbie Gentry had able command of many musical genres and most importantly was not afraid to take risks. Fresh to market Gentry originals like Joanne and Smoke sound new and vibrant like they could have been recorded yesterday. Indeed precious little little sounds dated or stuck in its era.This box set secures her legend for future generations.. Included is a lush coffee table book with rare photos and a top notch essay by engineer , producer Andre Batt. A must have!
