Hornby R886 Class 47/7 ScotRail Livery 47711 'Greyfriars Bobby' OO Gauge.
Dates from 1986 and is Ringfield Engine powered. R886 in good boxed condition is quite a popular collectors' item nowadays and features much in terms of being a period 1980's Hornby Class 47 model. Detailing at the front is on the sparse side for a Class 47/7 model as these were fitted with TDM Push-Pull cables and a high-intensity headlight. However until 1988 all of Hornby's Class 47s of all ilks appeared this way. 47711 was a ScotRail Class 47/7 allocated to Haymarket Depot in Edinburgh - HA. It operated 100 MPH Push-Pull duties between Glasgow and Edinburgh the last of which on weekend days has been known as the 'Vomit Comet' since before this fleet of 16 Class 47/7s appeared in the early 1980s. The Class 47/7 was fitted with TDM cables for Push-Pull operation and re-geared to attain ... Dates from 1986 and is Ringfield Engine powered.
