This is totally wrong because its a seller's right to ask about the issue in details, Moreover the return request has been initiated by the buyer and has been accepted. The request was opened in between the conversation, we usually do not ask the buyers to send back the faulty products, we simply issue a refund or a replacement as per the buyer's demand.
