I bought this machine as I have had makita tools as my go to for quality and performance so I bought the 2012nb thicknesser, power is good little snipe if any . But I'm very disappointed with the feed rollers which are extremely poor no matter how much you take of 0.5mm to 3mm rollers width of timber 25mm to 250mm will hardly feed timber end up pushing timber through with a lot of effort timber is sometimes static In the machine leaving burr marks . Brilliant planer! I’ve used it on 9” oak and it has no problem with it. It’s not noisy which was a concern. Leaves a good finish with no snipe. Requires no adjustment from out of the box use. So glad I went for this one. Was considering the Dewalt but this one is quieter which was the deciding factor. J
