About this product

Product Information

Voices for Freedom Abolitionist Heroes is a series of biographies portraying a generation of true American heroes. Their vision, words, and actions were a source of inspiration to the abolitionist movement and the fight to free African-American slaves before and during the Civil War. Harriet Beecher Stowe The Voice of Humanity in White America Born in Connecticut in 1811, Harriet Beecher Stowe was a writer who may have done more than any one person of her day to fuel popular forces against slavery. She actively aided fugitive slaves and, with the publication of her anti-slavery novel Uncle Tom's Cabin, focused the nation's consciousness on the inhumanity of slavery. This landmark American novel also helped harden the enmity between North and South over the issue of slavery. Book jacket.

Fantastic seller to deal with. Kept me informed and were super helpful and friendly. Provided tracking information so I could see where my order was and when to expect delivery. Considering that it had to come from the States, it arrived here in the UK very quickly. Very well packaged and exactly as described, I’m delighted with my dvd. Thank you so very much for your 5* service 😊
