NFL GameDay 2001 continues Sony's football franchise on the PlayStation in this sixth installment of the series. Game commentary and play-by-play are once again handled by Phil Simms and Dick Enberg. Along with the standard modes of play, such as Preseason, Season, General Manager, and Playoffs, there is a new option to play as only one position player while the computer controls the rest of your team. General Manager continues the ability to import college players via a memory card; this time from NCAA GameBreaker 2001.

The only slight negative is that the bottom of the box is somewhat damaged, as if when removing a price sticker, the person had ripped a little bit of the box with it (maybe 3-4 inches long).     NFL GameDay 2001

    I bought this for my twelve year old son and him and his friends seem to enjoy playing it but as with all games they only play them for so long that's why I like to buy used ones on ebay. UPDATE: My (son he's 15) still loves the nfl football games! I'm now getting ready to buy him the 09 maybe the 2010. He played these much longer than most of the games I have bought for him in the past! I may even buy new unless I find a excellent condition one on ebay at a great price! I highly recommend this game!

    Old like wine but not good

    It's an old game that plays like an old game. Gameday was better than Madden from 95' to 97'. After those years, Madden pulled ahead. Retro gamers would be better off with Madden 2001 rather than Gameday 2001.

    i liked that it was a great game for my son to get started with.and also that it also could be used on our playstation 1 for him to practice on. fun to play.
