Due to the compact SWM, the AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II lens offers fast, quiet and smooth autofocus performance.To ensure image quality, the AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II features an ED glass element which minimizes chromatic aberration, and a hybrid aspherical lens element which reduces astigmatism and other forms of distortion while ensuring high resolution and contrast. External lens design has also been improved for smoother zoom operability.

    Broken Len's

    I bought this lens knowing it was broken but a wee bit of patience taking it apart was fiddly and if you get a white cloth and just mark where each screw came from with the help of a cheap packet of colored permanent markers a different colour goes here or there or just watch a tutorial on u tube, mine is working perfectly good value.

    You can't get better for the price

    This a superb lens for the price, quiet smooth and brilliant optics. I would recommend this to anyone, wether your looking to start in serious photography or just want better pictures than your standard point and click camera will give. Used with a 55-200 lens of the same range, you cannot go wrong.

    Awesome

    I bought this lens as the one I had for 4 years broke on me. Its a joy to use and a brilliant piece of equipment. Makes my camera the best it can with excellent pictures and gets results.
