Nice little game collection from Namco

While this game is on the GameCube and also available on the PS2 and the original Xbox, Namco Museum (personally, I kinda wished that they would've named it something better other than just "Namco Museum") is a nice little collection of classics from the legendary arcade giant, Namco.

A filler title for an otherwise great system

Good overall for a bit of nostalgia, but there are better ports of Namco Museum on other platforms (XBOX One/PS4/PC) if you still crave a bit of the 80s in your gaming diet. While competently ported, the selection leaves a bit to be desired in its offering of titles including your typical fare of Pac Man, Dig Dug, Pole Position, Galaga, etc: I don't care for the challenges to unlock other games as this is a bit archaic and really just needs to go away as other ports such as PS3 Midway Collection offer many more games and don't require "scoring X amount to open Y game" to access them. Also, while the Nintendo GameCube is more than capable of running these games, you would be better served with more modern consoles with HDMI output which makes these games look their best (GameCube sadly has ...

  • Are you about the retro?

This collection brings sure enjoyment to an old gamer. These games were a beginning of an industry thats still going strong today. Younger gamers may not get it but I was there when these games were in the arcade and don't forget the music. These games were fun back when consoles and technology was quite limited. I recommend this collection for both young and old. A solid value for gamers!

  • Classic gamers will like this one

Stumbled across this game and im glad i ordered it. Namco Museum is a collection of early 1980s video games done right. Titles such as Pac-Man, Miss Pac-Man, Galaga, Galaxian, Pole Position 1 and 2, and Dig Dug. These games are just as you remember them from the coin-op arcade days, the gameplay is as close as it gets. Plus for a little bit of an updated feel each game has a second version on the disc with updated graphics and gameplay. Myself i stick with the original versions when playing, it really brings back the feel of years gone past. For those who grew up in the 80's hanging out on the weekends at your local mall in the gameroom, this game is for you.
