  • Vampire drama

Often astonishing 1932 vampire drama from Danish director Carl Theodor Dreyer. This was his first talkie and dialogue is kept to a minimum. There are some extraordinary images: look out for one soldier being joined by the shadow of another. Some DVDs of this film also feature the surreal 1933 stop-motion film "The Mascot" about puppets and toys coming to life. It puts dear old Wallace and Gromit to shame!
