Although limited in concept and appeal, Hangman does a good job of recreating the time-honored pen and paper (or chalk and blackboard) word-guessing game for children. Players must fill in blanks representing a word of up to six letters within 11 tries or a blocky monkey with a long tail will be hanged. In two-player mode, players alternate guesses. Or, better yet, one player gets to create the word for the other player to guess. Four vocabulary levels are available, and a 20-second time limit is optional. As gamers toggle between letters, the Alphabet Song plays. The graphics are simplistic, but the letters are easily recognizable.
