A volcanic Mediterranean island is the setting for this original role-playing game created by the designers of the Gothic series. Divided into four chapters, Risen's storyline follows two factions: a rebel group and the "inquisition," one of which you'll decide to join early in the game. Explore lush jungles, dank caverns, ancient temples, and a volcano stronghold while interacting with various non-player characters through multiple dialogue choices.<br><br>Cast powerful spells, fire arrows, or swing mighty swords, axes, and other weapons to defeat ogres, rotting worms, skeletons, wolves, ghouls, and similar monsters. Battles take place in real time, with action-oriented combos possible as well as opportunities for stealth. Over 250 quests are available to undertake as either faction, each contributing to your overall reputation among the people and groups you encounter.

    Camera sensitivity 100% maxed out with no settings to change.

    The game seems like it would be decently fun but there is one thing that absolutely kills it. The camera sensitivity is maxed out to the point where it is almost impossible to play. I read some other reviews on the Microsoft store after I bought the game and sure enough a lot of people were saying the same thing. There is no way to change it in the setting either. From my understanding the second and third game don’t have this problem so i am interested in trying those out.

    Not all that interesting.

    Hasn't really held my interest to this point. Takes a lot of qualities from other rpgs and tries to make them work together. However, it's a bit "clunky." Definitely seems geared more toward pc users. Also, the fighting controls are not particularly good.

    graphics similar to oblivion ok game halo style point of view. interesting idea behind this game but doesnt quite cut it among the greats.

    fun fantasy adventure

    This game is a fun game indeed. There is so much to do, see and explore ! It is like some other games ive played :oblivion, elderscrolls 3 morrowind to name some ...ive only just started the game, so i don't know what all is in it yet. Everytime i go to play it, there is always something different happening ...it seems to be a big huge long game ...i have not even started to craft ingame or do alchemy ingame yet ...i have not seen the floating munks yet either ! i did do some farming and hunting though ...it is a beauty of a game and is very story oriented not like some games where you do the same thing over and over and over like a racing game racing on the same tracks and just winning money and cars ingame to upgrade your car. This game is very adventuresome and full of surprises ! i ...
