They land on the fantastic runaway planet, Mongo, only to tangle with its evil ruler, Ming the Merciless, who has dastardly plans for our three heroes. Crabbe is the quintessential Flash in this 13-episode saga which was made for a then-expensive $350,000, setting a new "adult" standard for the usually more cheaply-made, kiddie-oriented movie serials of the 1930's. Flash's next incarnation was in a 1953 television series.
