      Great product. Just take your time with fitting.

      Fitting this hugger extender is a bit more involved than fitting the front mudguard extender due to there being a lot less clearance. It might be easier to use the sticky pads with it all in-situ, but I prefer to use the studs because they are far more secure. I removed the hugger (breaking one of Yamaha's cheap plastic clips in the process!) so that I could easily drill the four holes with it all on the bench. In addition to the supplied studs, I used some black silicone on the mating surfaces to hold it firm and stop the muck getting in there. When re-fitting the hugger I replaced Yamaha's front plastic clip with an allen screw and nylock nut, using the remaining Yamaha clip in the right hand swingarm hole.       MT07 Tracer Hugger

      Thought £34 for a bit of plastic was a bit steep,but,I’m really impressed with it.The quality,finish,and fit are all great.Fitting is simple,once you’ve removed the guard from the bike.I used both the sticky pads and the plastic rivets for extra security when fitting.Looks good and adds protection from the elements..Recommended

      Easy to fit when you know how

      Looks good & easy to fit. I have a paddock stand & angle drill so just fitted it on the bike and didn’t follow pyramid instructions which say you should remove the existing hugger (this is because I’ve read reports of the existing clips being hard to move and breaking easily)

      Fits well, best to remove the existing guard first, used the plastic fasteners as well as the sticky pads all in the kit.

      Does the Job

      Used the adhesive pad / stick-on option, and it seems to be holding firm, and has significantly reduced the amount of water spray, dirt, salt etc. being deposited on the rear shock, gearbox and engine. A lot of money for a piece of plastic, but it did of course have to be designed to fit accurately, moulds made etc, and is probably not being sold in huge volumes. Did the job – Thanks!
