This sharpener is incredible. Its bottom is a suction cup, and I honestly didn't think it would work on my wood kitchen desk, but it did, and it held on for as long as I needed to sharpened all the big knives in the house ( 10). The sharpening is very simple, you just slide the knife down and bits of metal come off. After 3-4 passes - the knife is sharp! This AnySharp product is not meant for precision sharpening, but it does exactly what they say it does. Using the standard rod/stick sharpener I could never really do anything because I don't use them often enough, so they get extra dull, and then the standard rod really cannot help. AnySharp breaches that gap and enables me to get the knives sharp enough so I can additionally sharpen them with the rod. The only downside is that I have to ... This sharpener is incredible. I followed the instructions perfectly, including watching YouTube videos on the device to see if I was doing something wrong. It looks like it is doing a good job as you see plenty of metal shards but, the knives even struggle to cut through peppers without a lot of pressure. Could be a clone as there is a lot of these on eBay. I'm going to replace this junk with a Bavarian edge knife sharpener as it doesn't cost that much but, after watching some reviews, totally wiped the floor with this thing when put head to head. The bavarian edge is not the best knife sharpener out there but it's a one of the best value for money particularly if you intend to simply restore and keep your knives sharp enough to chop vegetables. a bit small but works well.
it is easy to use, but takes a bit of getting use too, it only works on good quality knives. it was a bit smaller than i was expecting, and you need to get the blade in the right place to put an edge on it, but overall a good buy.

The safest knife sharpener I’ve come across. Fixed tight to a surface and can be done one handed just holding the knife. Few more strokes needed than I’d thought according to advertising but it does a good job and will be buying one for elderly parents
