    Works like new again

    I was pleased with this product because it replaced the broken part in my machine allowing me to keep using it. The part was a direct fit, all screws and hoses lined up perfectly. I did have to swap out the drive gear because the coupling is different on the Chinese model apparently. Mine has a square drive and the new one was hexagonal. Fortunately it was a match and it works great now. I tried to glue the broken turbine but it only lasted a few minutes using the best glues I have.

    Back Up & Scrubbing Fine

    The original air turbine (which creatively transfers torque to the rug scrubbing brushes) on our Hoover F5913 900 model finally failed (rusted), so we decided to just replace it and not the entire steam/vac carpet scrubber. We knew that this Chinese part came with the larger hex-drive key, and would not work exactly with our smaller, square-shaped drive axle. Fortunately, I was able to fabricate a "key" that mated the turbine to our scrubber drive without much trouble. On the actual part replacement, the turbine pops out with just four screws (two front/two underneath). I was a little worried on the initial test, when the scrubbing brushes hardly turned when the unit was turned on. Turns out to really get the full torque from the vacuum motor air flow, the cover needs to be put back ...
