    Snap-On F720 ratchet

    Made in the 1980's these quality 20 tooth ratchets are just another finely crafted tool that Snap-On produced. The repair kit for is RKRAF720. They can be upgraded to a 30 tooth gear with the 2 tooth per side engagement pawl, repair kit RKRAF730, which is the current available kit to repair these. They can also accept the 30 tooth quick release kit RKRAF723 for the F723 ratchet, though the sealing head cap must be removed and bushing must be replaced in order to convert it into quick release gear. There are other mods I could mention, but I will just leave it at that. This review is meant to cover the F720 ratchet after all. My personal preference is the 30 tooth upgrade, retaining the sealed head cap, though quick release is a handy feature to have as well. Those 10 extra teeth make a nice finer tooth feeling to the action compared to that lanky 20 tooth...more than you would think. The successor to the F720 is the F720A. Legendary Snap-On quality. Made in the USA!👍
