Synopsis
No Ordinary Days surveys Maggie Taylor's work from 1998 until 2012. Taylor, trained as a photographer, largely abandoned the camera for another light-sensitive device, the flatbed scanner. She begins her process with a found object--often a nineteenth-century photograph--and using image manipulation software like Adobe Photoshop® she transforms the original image, layering and manipulating her palette of collected visual information in a meticulous process than pushes the limits of her medium. The result is a surrealistic, often painterly, montage distinguished by vibrant color and a rich symbolism. Taylor's striking combinations of history and imagination invite the viewer to engage in a process of both discovery and recollection. The genre is often described as altered or fabricated photography. Although Taylor's work is autobiographical--informed by childhood memories, anxieties, and television consumption--it defies easy interpretation. Maggie Taylor is a digital artist who has exhibited her work throughout the United States and abroad. Her images are featured in Maggie Taylor's Landscape of Dreams , Solutions Beginning with A , and Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. Product as described. Shipping was 5 days from Ca to Pa. Well packaged. Everywhere else I found this item they wanted $113 and up for the same book. Even AMAZON had one for crazy money. This was pricey but still cheaper than everyone else. I’ve searched high and low for this book. I finally own it! I’d definitely recommend this book and this seller to anyone else.

There seller did a great job of packaging, (item was wrapped with bubble sheet, and tightly secured in a cardboard box), and getting the item in the postal system for quick delivery. This is a high quality book, in excellent condition, and of outstanding value. It offers some great photos for future reference. A great purchase from lqcollectibles!

Item arrived on timed was packaged very well. Seller protected it from shipping abuse, the box had a huge puncture on it, but likely the packaging done by the seller protected the item! Item was not damaged and looked brand new in condition. For the value I paid, it seemed reasonable and since the item looks impeccable, I am quite happy with it. The quality of the item was in mint quality. Highly recommend this seller, will shop again A++++
