Definitely worth persisting with questions and asking for additional information as well as photographs in better light. The brush pot was definitely better in person than the pictures suggested. Natural daylight is better.

I made a cheeky offer (75% of advertised) which was accepted. What arrived was cheap junk shop glass tat covered in dried orange mud. When I asked to return I was fobbed off with concerns about damage in transit, and they offered to give me substantial refund to keep it. In the end they refunded 90% of what I paid. For something advertised at £245 I ended up paying £10.
