Works well but u need to know this
If the feeding bowls in the tray don't line up with the cover then lift the gear in the center of the post that turns the tray and rotate until it matches. When u lift the tray be careful to lift straight up so this doesn't happen accidentally. Otherwise I've had one for 18 months. The automatic feeder works great with my schedule
I feed my two cats in the morning and late at night and then use a feeder for each of them for their mid-day meal when I am not at home. They are happy and it is a great relief to me to have them eating on schedule. I numbered the sections from 0 to 4 so with just a glance I know when I need to refill the tray.
