    Much better than the remote supplied with the box

    I did not read the "pairing" instructions sent with the product and just tried to use it straight out of the box. It did not work. I then read the instructions, followed them and it worked immediately. It is a Mark 2 version of the product and the buttons "click" when you press them. Vast improvement on the Mk 1 version I got when I bought the recorder. The version I had before relied on making a contact with each press and did not click. Some buttons gradually stopped working on the old one, making it impossible to use the HDR-1100S. Very pleased with this one and with the helpful instructions.

    Good second remote.

    Easy to set up once you realise that the Firestick has the instructions on screen. The sheet with the remote was pretty useless compared to the Firestick settings screen. You have to work your way through it carefully and make sure you complete it. Once you do that it finds the second remote and works with both. Sometimes you have to press the buttons on the second remote twice before it finds it, but that is not much of a problem.

    The real thing

    So pleased to receive this as it works as it should. Don't be fooled into buying cheap universal remotes that say they are for Humax as ,I learnt to my cost they don't have the correct features and are for TV's not free-sat boxes. This one is wonderful and I am in control again to watch and record and replay properly . VERY pleased with it. recommended, if your remote dies then buy this excellent one..

    A well made and original Humax HDR-1100S remote control.

    A well made and original remote for the Humax HDR-1100S freesat recorder box which worked perfectly with the Freesat box. Pairing it with my tv was a different story. None of the 3 digit codes provided for my tv worked and the other method provided did not work. I began the process of testing 3 digit numbers at 000 and fortunately got as far as 027 when it worked. Thank goodness it wasn't 999. A well made remote which is very good value for money.
