      Good Entry Level Speakers

      I use them as an upgrade on the audio output from an Avtex TV/DVD/Satellite unit, and I am very pleased with the sound. They have a volume control, a headset output and on/off switch on the master speaker, so the tone has to be adjusted from the sound source unit. One small niggle; the two speakers are permanently wired together, so I could not use an audio extension cable to increase the distance between them, however, a length of speaker cable and the good old twist and tape method solved that problem. (Safety note: Don't use twist and tape on any circuits carrying high voltage or high current - If you are not sure, don't use it at all) The clarity of sound and stereo separation are excellent and they look good. Overall; a very good buy at the price.

      Dissapointing

      I replaced my old hp speakers with these, but was very disappointed with the quality of the sound. These speakers are bigger with a higher W rating, but they are way inferior. I guess size doesn't matter after all. Worst thing is they keep cutting out every time the sound level gets a little high - have to pull out and reinsert the headphone jack. Having a volume control on the front is handy and they were very cheap, but I would trade that for better quality reliable sound. I almost said they were good value, but then realised I will probably end up replacing them again with something better, so a bit of a false economy in the long run.

      easy to use.

      considering the price , the sound is a bit bass light but they sound o.k. . .good enough for general use computer speakers . volume not loud enough for...e.g. gaming .

      Speakers for my flat screen TV.

      The sound output on my flat screen TV is abysmal. This is a known problem on these TV's as there is no room for a decent speaker format. I connected the speakers stereo jack into the headphone socket on my TV. and plugged the speakers power source into a spare USB outlet on the TV. The results were amazing. The volume control is worked by the TV. remote. It is extremely loud if needed. When watching a program that's suitable, the stereo effect is superb and even a surround sound is achieved as well. Talk about £10.00 well spent. Many thanks to the selling company. 8437bob.
