Great characters, sentiment, action, never boring! Gladly, no "gore" on battle scenes.
This is an excellently entertaining series, with good actors, good characters. This series is a lot different from the tales of Merlin I was read as a child, and also the various tales and possibly history fragments I've read as an adult. Some of those tings are in the series though. Both young actors who play Merlin and Arthur are great, and great together. Uther, Gwynevere....also the right actors for these parts. The main characters are not shallow. There is Tenderness, sentiment, humor at times, anger, magic, and action...even a dragon or two, come together for an entertaining show. Nothing gory and bloody; battle scenes are mild and leave much to the imagination. I like that throughout the series is the tension between the Old Religion and new (Christianity), which is true in history. I don't agree with many of the portrayals of the Old Religion, but hopefully it will get folks to research a bit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
