THERE IS AGE RELATED PAPER TONING THROUGHOUT, DARKER ON PAGE EDGES. THE PROBLEM WITH THIS BOOK IS THE EXTERIOR CLOTH. CORNERS HAVE WEAR THROUGH, COVERS HAVE SCUFFS AND STAINING. THE SPINE IS BLEACHED OF ANY VISIBLE GILT ON THE PRINTED PORTION AND IT HAS PAINT SPLASHES. THE HINGES OF BOTH FRONT AND REAR ARE FULLY FUNCTIONAL BUT CLEARLY FRAGILE AND THREADBARE. MINOR CLOTH LOSS ON TOP AND BOTTOM OF SPINE AND HINGES. CARDBOARD IS EXPOSED ON ALL FOUR CORNERS. EXTERIOR CLOTH OF SPINE HINGES ARE THREATENING TO SPLIT BUT HAVE NOT AS YET. I WOULD NOT GO THROUGH THIS BOOK WITHOUT FULLY SUPPORTING THE FRONT BOARD UNTIL YOU ARE AT LEAST HALFWAY INTO THE BOOK.”
