"All is made painfully clear--we are routed out of our little 'cubby holes', all of our excuses are brought out into the open and exposed for what they are. . . . Synopsis
Featuring a new foreword by Pema Chödrön, this Tibetan Buddhist classic explores the meaning of freedom and how we can attain it through meditation Freedom is generally thought of as the ability to achieve goals and satisfy desires. But what are the sources of these goals and desires? If they arise from ignorance, habitual patterns, and negative emotions, is the freedom to pursue these goals true freedom--or is it just a myth? In The Myth of Freedom and the Way of Meditation , Chögyam Trungpa explores the true meaning of freedom, showing us how our attitudes, preconceptions, and even our spiritual practices can become chains that bind us to repetitive patterns of frustration and despair. He also explains how meditation can bring into focus the causes of frustration, and how these negative forces can aid us in advancing toward true freedom. Trungpa's unique ability to express the essence of Buddhist teachings in the language and imagery of contemporary American culture makes this book one of the best, most accessible sources of the Buddhist doctrine ever written., Ch gyam Trungpa's unique ability to express the essence of Buddhist teachings in the language and imagery of modern American culture makes his books among the most accessible works of Buddhist philosophy. I ordered the book but the order was canceled and my money was refunded. The seller let me know that the book had been damaged in storage. I greatly appreciate not being sent a damaged copy. This is a trustworthy seller.

after more than two weeks, i asked for a status since the item tracking had a shipping label number but no evidence of actually shipping. seller then (and only then, and without any direct communication) canceled the purchase and sent a refund. i’m glad for the refund but sure wish he’d reached out directly two weeks ago. i must start over now. i would not use this seller. unreliable and poor communications.

Packaging was offering full protection. However, condition of the item was far from being as advertised. Unusable device. Lots of trouble. Bad overall experience. Seller fully refunded his part, but I wasn't refunded for a bit more than one third of the total expense, that being eBay shipping I guess. So, loss of time, energy, and money. Very frustrating experience. It's unfortunate but, based on this sole experience, I can't recommended this seller.
