    High quality - excellent value!

    I'm new to carving, so I purchased as an entry level set to try out, to see what I really need before spending a lot more money, without knowing what I really need. They're made in China, which usually means thinnest materials possible, poor workmanship, etc., so I was really surprised at the quality of materials and workmanship of these knives. I have a wood shop and I work on my own instruments, and sharpen my own chisels, so I appreciate good tools, and these twelve knives are good quality little tools. I took a piece of pine, sketched a design and put these knives to the test. Right out of the box, I cut in my lines, and used a couple of different gouges to remove material worked really well.     Soap has strong industrial cleaning smell.

    The scent is strong and smells like industrial cleaners, nothing like the Canus goat milk with olive oil and wheat protein (which I cannot find). The olive oil soap has as a clean light scent and I have used it for many years. The reviews for the original was good and I was hoping the scent would be close but it has a strong, unpleasant smell almost like old spice. Will donate.
