    Good sound. Poor grip.

    Good Sound. So much better than Mac's built in speakers. Go figure. Out of the box, it has a very wide slot where it sits on top of the laptop. I applied velcro to the tip of the fold down retainer to hold it to the lalptop lid and then wrapped the base of the fold down retainer with a velcro strap to fill the gap and make a snug fit. Poor design for attaching to the lid but a little creativity worked and most importantly - Good sound.

    external speaker

    I'm a little disappointed the reason being the speaker does not secure to the newer laptops. The older laptops with the catch closed latch it seems to be ok as the cutaway on the underside of the speaker is right for that system. But the laptops with just a closing method doesn't secure the speaker AT ALL even with the attached sling. It seems to me it is a little extreme of being top heavy. I even tried to secure it with velcro but that doesn't help either. This is really my only complaint is that it's not heavy per say but it is heavy without a secure mounting method to the newer laptops.

    Nice speaker

    Works mostly as described

    I just wanted a plug in speaker for streaming movies without wires running all over. The speakers put out plenty volume and the wires are pretty much out of the way. My only major complaint is that it does not secure to the top of the screen as pictured. It just falls off. Lame. That defeats half the reason why I purchased it. It's a step up from what I had before though and it is reasonably priced.
