    Play On Film

    Case was broken but DVD wasn't damaged. Audio and video okay. Next best thing to an actual stage play. Great cast with a final scene that will leave you breathless!

    Real life characters, draws you right in.

    I had been waiting for some time for this movie to hit the shelves of my local store. I finally decided that was not going to happen, so I ordered it from ebay. I should have done it much sooner. Viola Davis and Denzel Washington are outstanding actors, the story was realistic for the time period and I will watch it again and again.

    Yeah! The fence is done!

    This movie was based in the lives of black generations in the 50's/60's. You have to stay in tune with the guidelines or you will be lost. The actors are great, I think it dragged on a bit too much. I will most likely see it again just so I can get more in depth and figure out what, or if, I missed anything the first time.

    Outstanding movie!

    I absolutely loved this movie. Indicative of the way life can have such twists and turns. Ending was unpredictable. It was exciting to not be able to guess how things were going to turn out.

    Beautiful, Real Film

    This film speaks to the everyday struggles of a family. Even though it is set 60 years ago, the tragedy of these characters is timeless. Denzel Washington and Viola Davis give the performances of their careers. The script was written by the original playwright, August Wilson, and is part of his play cycle; he wrote one play for every decade of the 20th century.
