Fictional? Of course. But it does take you back to a simpler time. Sure the problems are not serious, but there are numerous life lessons mixed throughout the series. For me, it's a joy to watch where I don't have to be concerned about foul language or inappropriate situations. It's just plain, simple, good entertainment.
