The Nepal-like Kyrat offers dizzying heights and majestic beauty, but also great peril thanks to the charismatic despot Pagan Min and his collection of deranged governors and generals. The open-world action lets players explore mountainside villages, hunt exotic animals, and help an oppressed populous become free again.<br><br>Hostile soldiers are always a concern, but danger lurks everywhere in Kyrat, with sheer cliffs, rockslides, giant eagles, and avalanches greeting those who explore its craggy peaks, and badgers, bears, tigers, rhinos, and other beasts roaming its ancient villages and lush lowlands. Fortunately, gamers can make use of numerous vehicles, weapons, and specialized items to survive their perilous journey. The wingsuit and parachute return, and the new gyrocopter and grapple help players survive Far Cry 4's extreme verticality, while cars, buggies, three-wheeled tuk-tuks, and even elephants can serve as a means of conveyance. If flight is not an option, gamers can always opt to fight with a variety of powerful weapons, including machineguns, mortars, flame throwers, and the new Kukri knife and auto crossbow.<br><br>Taking down Pagan Min's corrupt empire is the ultimate goal in Far Cry 4, but players are encouraged to explore the vast open world and complete a wide variety of side missions and mini games. Gamers can take control of towers, destroy enemy convoys, discover ancient temples, and liberate fortresses, or they can track down and collect hundreds of hidden items, harvest materials from plants and animals to upgrade weapons and equipment, and even go on spiritual journeys to Shangri-La alongside a mythical tiger. New co-op gameplay lets a second player join in on the action at any time to help complete various objectives, while competitive multiplayer fans can head online and compete in a variety of modes.<br><br>This Limited Edition includes a special harpoon gun and three bonus missions starring the monkey-obsessed American expat Hurk.

    Not the newest in the series, but perhaps the most fun!

    Don’t let the release date make you question if this game is worth your money. It’s amazing that a game this detailed and compelling could’ve been made at the beginning of the console generation, with only minor improvements being made in newer entries. Far cry four offers a fun experience that doesn’t feel dated even in 2019

    Far Cry 4 is a waste of time

    I picked up this game for the graphics and for the reputation of the series. This game is disappointing and a waste of time. The campaign is crap with weird and dark missions. The area map scale is poorly done and you end up wasting time going from one place to another. You waste more time doing crappy side missions to continue the campaign. Even at an easy setting, the gameplay is terrible. It takes forever to heal before you can shoot back only to have to heal again. It takes too much time to accumulate the skill points to beef up the character. No fun. Will play COD any day over this garbage.

    Good value for your money

    The graphics are great. Very clear with good definition. Varied landscapes available and many choices in that regard. For me the game was overly complex but probably no problem for someone much younger than me. Some on screen instructions would be good at times saving the player from much trial and error to discover what it is you are required to do next. Still, all and all the price is right and good value for the money imo.

    Great game, just not as good as Farcry 5

    This game was definitely different from the other Farcry games. Still fun, but after a while , the missions felt somewhat redundant. The gameplay is still fun and I would still recommend this game.
