The vendor was very helpful in taking additional photos of parts to reassure me that all was well before purchase, for which many thanks. The kit was very well packed, inside stout cardboard supplementing the kit's own box. I was especially pleased to see that the clear parts had been carefully wrapped in paper towel inside the box to minimise risk of damage.
