In an effort to curb his bad behavior, Hunter's superiors team him with the beautiful and no-nonsense Dee Dee McCall (Stephanie Kramer), and the duo turn out to be the department's most effective crime fighting team. HUNTER's success depended on the chemistry between its two leads, and on hard-hitting action that stretched the boundaries of what could be shown on broadcast television at the time.
