    Get the LED OUT!

Anytime it's time to get the Led out! Zep IV is one of the best of all their excellent albums. Not a bad song on the album. Even though you can't go a day without hearing Stairway To Heaven on the radio, it's still good to have it on demand along with all the other songs on this album. And now that CD's are old school as everything goes digital, these great recordings from great artists can be had very cheap. My new car doesn't have a CD player but my older ones do.

  • Terrific CD

No wonder Led Zeppelin IV is rated the top of LZ's albums - one goldie after another. This is the album the 70s rock stations play their selections from - Black Dog, Rock and Roll, The Battle of Evermore, Stairway to Heaven, Misty Mountain Top, Four Sticks, Going to California, and When the Levee Breaks. If you're a rocker and don't have this album, it's a must have.

  • Yes!!

Oh gosh, what an album! There's not a song that isn't unloved. This is essential Led Zepp and possibly their best work, imo. It has the famous "Stairway to Heaven" and "Going to California", but that's not all it's good for. I love to song to this album and Robert Plant is an excellent and difficult vocalist to imitate, but he sounds so beautiful! And Jimmy Page is legendary! This is the album to buy if you want to start your Led Zeppelin collection. This and the first album.

  • The Sledgehammers of Rock

Led Zeppelin IV is not a perfect album, but let's keep it simple: the album flows together in some weird way, and the great tracks overwhelm the weaker tracks to the extent that the listener is left with the impression of a singleunified artistic statement which amazes and exhilarates the listener. There are two primary forces at work here: the music and the production. Jimmy Page had garnered a wealth of studio experience from his time as a session musician, his work with The Yardbirds, and Led Zep's 1st three LP's. So yes, the music is inspired and powerful, but Page's production work on this album is masterful, and the combination of these two elements created a Rock work of staggering power. Their version of Memphis Minnie's 'WHEN THE LEVEE BREAKS' has to be heard to be believed!
