    Inexpensive and does a good job

    So far the unit has tested with no issue. The pull chain is smooth with a little stickiness, but I think this is related to being new, had should only get smoother. the chain length is just right for my gantry which will allow me to pull my truck engine out. Chevy 4.3L 262ci L35 Vortec V6 gross weight of around 600 lbs. Hook swivels are smooth and safety latch on top hook is easily operated with a thumb, while being held overhead.

    Cheap but works

    This is a cheap made in China chain unit that you shouldn't expect too much from. It works, I hauled up the rear end of a Xmart 60" mower with slight difficulty. The chain locked up several times and I had to pull a fair amount, but, in the end, the mower was jacked up off the ground and I could do whatever I wanted underneath. This may be the cheapest 1 ton hoist you'll come across that you can make work with moderate effort.

    Strong, stable and impressive!

    Believe that you can score this 2k lift for this price. WOW, just install this unit in my shed for my plow blade and emph! This unit is all that. Will lift my blade, after winter. Lifts are costly and you need this one! Wish I could put this on track for multiple lifts but didn't have the ability where I have it, you may! All this for the high 30s, get yours and lemme know!

    hoist

    took it out of box, hooked it to a beam in the garage and lifted my lawnmower. worked great!! Only lifting about 200 pounds, but works great for that.

    Functional for the price

    I purchased two of these hoists. One has very smooth operation. The other one is not quite as smooth but gets the job done. I'm using them at about 1/2 of rated capacity to lift a small truck camper, which they do just fine...the rougher of the two makes me a tiny bit nervous while lowering, though. For smaller cargo, they'd both do just fine.
